How LILA (Long Island Ladies Association) began

LILA was born around the kitchen table with 6 Long Island ladies in 2017 that wanted to create a sense of community for the aging Iranian Americans of Long Island, New York and its surrounding area.

LILA’s mission has been to provide programming and educational activities for the community of Long Island, New York. Since our inception, we have organized a variety of lectures on medical, dental, nutritional, health, cultural and business fields, in addition to social services for our members. We have also provided activities centered around music and dance.

In addition, LILA’s mission is to introduce and educate Americans about the rich Iranian culture.
